GIVANO, born Giovanny Hooper, is a music producer born and raised in Amsterdam. Coming from a musical family, he was introduced to music early by his father, who played in an Indo rock band.
He started playing guitar at five years old, learning directly from his father. This sparked his passion for music and laid the foundation for his creative journey.
His journey as a producer began at the age of thirteen when he discovered FL Studio. Completely self taught, he dedicated countless hours to learning the craft and developing his own sound.
Since then, music production has become his lifelong passion and profession.
GIVANO's sound is driven by groove, emotion and energy. One of the most recognisable elements in his productions is the bassline, which often carries the rhythm and movement of the track.
His music combines Afro influences with an international approach, while staying clean, compact and modern. Having started in EDM and house, he blends genres while keeping a strong focus on timeless musicality.
What sets GIVANO apart is his focus on creating music that makes people feel something. Every production is built around emotion, energy and connection, aiming for euphoric, nostalgic and uplifting moments.
He wants his music to bring people together across cultures and generations, creating globally recognised records that connect.
